Interpretations 8: A Time to UN- Lock & Leash

INTERPRETATIONS is a collective arts series created to showcase diverse artists who express their creativity through various styles and mediums. Guided by a focused theme or concept curated by Teekay the Kid, the series invites artists to reflect deeply and authentically on life’s many dimensions.

By invitation only, artists are carefully selected based on their alignment with the mission and the integrity of the project. Once invited and participating, artists earn a standing invitation to all future showcases in the series.

Since 2017, INTERPRETATIONS has focused on promoting holistic wellness within the community by connecting artistic expression with the many facets of life and wellbeing. We encourage artists to explore their personal experiences in ways that illuminate how art and wellness intersect.

Objectives

For Artists:

• Build a supportive network of like-minded creatives.
• Reflect intentionally on personal life experiences and translate them into original works.
• Inspire creative pieces that reveal the interplay between life perceptions and experiences.
• Foster connections within the community for collaboration and growth.

For Audiences:

• Cultivate a deep appreciation for local art and artists.
• Encourage self-reflection through engagement with diverse artistic interpretations.
• Spark meaningful dialogue and conversation.
• Connect audiences with artists for ongoing opportunities.

Our Impact So Far

• Over 40+ artists have participated since 2017, with many returning for multiple showcases.
• 80+ original pieces have been presented, including spoken word, dance, singing, live painting, and film.
• 850+ Attendees touch points, and some audience members have become inspired to join future performances, growing the collective organically.

Info: VIP Ticket Holders are invited to join the Showcase Artist for a Meet & Greet before the Showcase begins. During this time we encourage you to enjoy a variety of lite fare refreshments, while taking pics with artists, shopping with vendors most importantly finding the very best seat you can inside the Theatre before doors open to General Public.
