In this workshop we explore how we impact others and are impacted by others, and how group dynamics shift, through dialogue and expression.We will be practicing 4 expressions:
1. Observation
2. Feeling
3. Interpretation
4. Reaction
Inspired by Interpersonal Dynamics at Stanford Graduate School of Business, this practice has been shown to improve relationships, both personal and professional. It's open to anyone that wants to build better relationships.
We start with a check in, and I'll explain some theory. Afterwards we do paired exercises, followed by a main group exercise.
You are encouraged to take care of your own needs. You are free to take breaks to get tea, or leave the workshop at any time. Setting boundaries is also part of the practice.
Rules:
1. Confidentiality. What happens in the group stays in the group.
2. Take responsibility for your own experience. Share only what you are ready to share and speak from the I.
3. We hold space for all experiences. Conflict and tension is not failure, it's part of the learning process.
4. We are not here to fix anything, but to explore and learn. It's not about fixing other peoples problems, they can do that themselves.
Facilitator:
My name is Ole Kristian. I have a deep interest in psychology, group dynamics and community building. I've been cocreating community events for a decade. The skills practiced in this workshop have greatly improved my relationships and quality of life. I want to spread the practice and also learn from others. Community is always a group effort.
