About this Event
Celebrate International Women's Day in our life sculpting special this year featuring a female model!
Discover your artistic potential in this sculpting class in Manchester. Join our Nude Model Sculpting Sessions and learn the art of sculpting a figure out of clay under the expert guidance of Nina, expert figurative ceramicist. This innovative workshop takes life drawing to a whole new level, providing a unique opportunity to explore your creativity in three dimensions.
The perfect creative Sunday clay, come on your own, with some mates or a date! Many people come to these events alone, the creative and social atmosphere facilitates a lovely environment to meet new likeminded people and creatives.
Don't worry if you're a beginner, Nina will provide step-by-step instructions to help you create a stunning sculpture that you'll be proud to take home. The sessions celebrate diversity and body positivity, as each class features a different nude model, showcasing a range of body types, sexes, races, and ages.
Discover the therapeutic benefits of working with clay as you tune in to your creativity, gaining a deeper appreciation for the human form and it’s diverse beauty, and leave with a unique sculpture that reflects your artistic vision and celebrates the human form.
To keep these sessions accessible to more people we offer different tiered prices. We use a high quality clay that can either:
- be taken directly home on the day with you (general admission, bags and boxes provided),
- be bisque fired (making it a solid piece, finish is pastel pink & texture similar to stone), (+£10)
- be glazed (this will make it water proof, you can choose a colour from our selection on the day). (+20)
If you choose the bisque or glazed option, collection of your sculptures will be within the next month at Hope Mill Theatre in Ancoats (M4 7JA) or alternatively delivery can be discussed on the day for an additional cost. Contactless or cash payments can be accepted on the day.
