International Women's Day | Smash the Ceiling Invitational

Smash the Ceiling is an intermediate-level WOMEN’S ONLY round-robin pickleball tournament taking place on International Women’s Day — built to celebrate strong play, competitive energy, and the women who show up on the court.

Players will rotate partners throughout the event for fast-paced matches, balanced competition, and nonstop action. The format keeps games moving while giving everyone the chance to compete alongside a variety of players and styles.

Whether you’re chasing great points, great vibes, or both — Smash the Ceiling is designed to bring women together through competition and community!

Date: Sunday, March 8th

Time: 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM (overflow 3–4 PM)

Division: Intermediate (3.0-4.0)

Teams: 15

Format:

• Teams will be split into three round-robin pools of five teams
• Each team is guaranteed 4 round-robin games to 11 (win by 2)

Playoffs:

• The top three teams from each pool advance to the playoff bracket
• Playoffs begin with quarterfinals
• The #1 overall seed receives a bye to the semifinals
• Quarterfinal winners advance to semifinals (losers are eliminated)
• Semifinal winners advance to the gold medal match
• Semifinal losers compete for bronze

Quarterfinals & Semifinals:

• 1 game to 15, win by 2

Championship & Bronze Match:

• 1 game to 21, win by 2

• 12 PM–2 PM: Pool play
• 2 PM–3 PM: Playoffs
• 3 PM–4 PM: Overflow if needed

• $80 (members) / $100 (non-members) per team (or $40 / $50 per player)

• Tournament play
• Welcome drink
