Mind the Gap Festival returns on International Women's Day, March 8 from 11 am to 5pm, bringing together local musicians, business leaders, and changemakers at The Gateway and Kiln SLC. The festival will transform The Gateway's Olympic Plaza into a community space featuring local musicians, women-owned businesses and nonprofit vendors. Meanwhile, Kiln will serve as the hub for the festival's speakers, panel discussions and workshops featuring influential leaders across various industries.
The KRCL stage will showcase six of Utah’s local performers:
- Mel Soul (folk/rock)
- Mowth (punk/alternative)
- Talia Keys (rock/soul/reggae/funk)
- Detzany (Latin R&B fusion)
- Jazzy Olivo (jazz fusion)
- Stella Standingbear (hip-hop/R&B/pop)
Mind the Gap Festival highlights gaps in income, political representation, and educational opportunities while celebrating the diversity of Utah's creative and business community. Through music, art, and meaningful dialogue, the festival creates a platform for positive change and inspires the next generation of leaders committed to building a more equitable society.
