Join Us for International Women’s Day 2025!When: Saturday, March 8th, 2025
Where: Across Reno, Sparks, and Northern Nevada
Celebrate International Women’s Day with a full day of events that highlight women’s achievements, promote equality, and inspire action! Here’s what we have planned for this exciting day:
-Start the morning at the Sparks Marina for the Accelerate Equality Walk (or Run!) for Women hosted by the City of Sparks and Northern Nevada Health System. Start your morning on the right foot, honoring the women in your life and our community while enjoying fresh air, exercise, and feeling of solidarity.
-Resource Faire at the Reno+Sparks Chamber: At the Reno + Sparks Chamber of Commerce, network with local entrepreneurs and business owners. Join area professionals for a resource fair and speakers’ series designed to elevate and empower women in business.
-Engaging Conversations: Attend an inspiring TEDx Reno event, in collaboration with Renown Health & Hometown Health, focusing on women’s health issues and advancements. Learn, connect, and be empowered!
-Local Business & Dining Specials: Support women-owned businesses across the city! Many will be offering special promotions, giving you the perfect excuse to shop, eat, and drink while celebrating IWD.
-Cultural Experiences: Take a moment to appreciate the incredible talent of female artists at the Nevada Museum of Art and other local galleries. Special exhibitions will be on display to honor women’s creative contributions.
-Evening Celebration: Join us in downtown Reno for the culminating event at 5:00 pm when we gather at the City of Reno Arch to watch it light up in purple! Let’s come together in celebration and solidarity to honor women everywhere.
This community-wide event is for everyone—women, men, families, and friends—who want to celebrate, connect, and take action for a brighter future.
