At POWER (Professional Women and Women Entrepreneurs), our mission is to empower and uplift South Asian and American women through the pillars of Information, Guidance, Recognition, Achievement, and Women’s Sports, fostering growth and opportunity in an inclusive and supportive environment. POWER actively addresses the pervasive issue of domestic violence by raising awareness, providing resources, collaborating with partners, and supporting intervention efforts to create safer communities. Through meaningful programs and community-driven initiatives—celebrated annually at the International Women’s Day and POWER Annual Gala—the organization uplifts women and amplifies their voices. POWER supports victims of domestic violence with access to crisis intervention, referrals, advocacy, and long-term empowerment while empowering immigrant and minority women through education, leadership development, and resource access. The Gala promotes mental, physical, and emotional well-being through wellness initiatives, educational programming, and community engagement. It also serves as a platform to recognize achievements and encourage women’s leadership, entrepreneurship, and civic participation. Through initiatives such as arts programs, free health screenings, education, and women’s sports, POWER strengthens communities by fostering equality, resilience, and social responsibility. POWER believes that when women thrive, families strengthen, communities flourish, and future generations succeed.
