International Womans Day 5K In Support of Meningitis Research

Join us on Saturday, March 7 at 10:00 AM at Lansdowne for a powerful community-driven 5K in celebration of International Women’s Day weekend.

We’ll run a scenic 5K along the Rideau Canal and finish at 613flea, Ottawa’s iconic monthly market — a perfect way to continue the morning by supporting local vendors, including many incredible women entrepreneurs.

Meningitis can change lives in hours.

While overall incidence rates are often higher in males, research shows that women can experience more severe inflammatory responses and, in some cases, higher mortality rates from bacterial meningitis.

This Women’s Day weekend, we are:

• Raising awareness

• Funding critical research

• Supporting better outcomes

• Standing in solidarity with women affected by meningitis

This is an open-course community run. Pathways remain open to the public. For safety, participants must follow pedestrian and traffic rules at all times.

By registering, you acknowledge that participation is voluntary and at your own risk. Event photos and videos may be used for promotional purposes.
