Join the St. Augustine Alligator Farm as we celebrate International Vulture Awareness Day! We’re recognizing this often-underappreciated raptor, commonly known as nature’s clean-up crew, with a day of vulture-themed activities and tons of fun. Join us for an in-person silent auction, vulture painting, feedings, educational talks, hands-on crafts, and more.
🗓️ Saturday, Sept. 5
⏱️ 10am-3pm
Activities
• Education station located at the vulture habitat
Featuring educational talks, hands-on crafts, activities, and more. Visitors can purchase two super worms to feed the vultures for $1.
10am-3pm
• Live silent auction
Bid on items including custom artwork, a Galapagos tortoise encounter, paintings by our resident vultures, and more. Items can be shipped domestically.
10am-3pm
• Keeper demonstrations
10am: Join our keepers as they guide our vultures in making paintings for our silent auction.
2pm: Join our keepers for a vulture feeding demonstration.
All proceeds will be donated to the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ African Vulture Saving Animals from Extinction (SAFE) program.
Tickets to the St. Augustine Alligator Farm may be purchased the day of your visit or online at www.AlligatorFarm.com. This event is included with your daily admission and does not require an additional ticket.
