On October 25, 2026 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Southern Germany’s largest and most long-standing record fair will once again take place at the Ulm Exhibition Centre.
With nearly 100 vendors from across Germany and neighboring countries, the Ulm record fair has evolved over the past 35 years into the largest music media market in the south.
The range of offerings is diverse, spanning from professional online retailers looking to meet customers face-to-face and dealers specializing in rare Krautrock across Europe, to private sellers parting with their exquisite collections.
Vinyl enthusiasts can closely inspect the condition of highly valuable rarities, while bargain hunters and newcomers alike will find plenty to discover in the one-euro bins. Virtually every music genre—from jazz, rock, pop, classical, reggae, hip-hop, soul, and punk to heavy metal—will be represented, featuring thousands of artists and groups ranging from ABBA to Zappa. Nearly half a million LPs, singles, and cassettes, as well as music DVDs and CDs, await inspection—both visual and tactile.
The market also serves as a gathering place for music lovers who want to do more than just sit in front of a screen; it offers a chance to connect with like-minded people and share their passion. A cozy refreshment area with tables is available for this purpose.
After a lean period during which record fairs and second-hand shops kept vinyl alive, demand for the format has more than recovered. In fact, vinyl now generates more revenue than CDs!
A younger audience—bored with digital downloads—is also rediscovering an interest in these valuable physical media and their unique sound. After all, the album covers alone are miniature works of art!
