About this Event

25 Years On. Still Needed.

On Monday, August 31, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM, The Collective (4 N Saginaw St, Pontiac) will host an evening of remembrance for International Overdose Awareness Day.

At the heart of the evening is our Remembrance Tree, honoring loved ones lost to overdose. Every name added is a story that deserves to live on, and we would be honored to remember your loved one with you.

Healing Hearts Safety Services, with Denise Harris, will provide free hands-only CPR and naloxone training on site. No experience needed, and everyone is welcome to take part.

Here is how you can be part of it:

  • Submit a name for the Remembrance Tree
  • Share a few words during the ceremony about the person you lost
  • Show up on August 31 and stand with families in our community
  • Share this listing and tag someone who should know about this evening

To submit a name or express interest in speaking, email [email protected].

Overdose has touched nearly every family in our community. This evening is for all of us.

They were more than a statistic. They had names. They had stories. They were loved. And on August 31, they will be remembered.

This event is free and open to everyone. RSVP is optional and simply helps us plan.
