International Overdose Awareness Day 2026
About this Event
International Overdose Awareness Day 2026
Join us for Remembering Together, an evening of remembrance, reflection, and hope in recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day.
Together, we will honor the lives of those lost to overdose, support families and friends who continue to grieve, and stand united to reduce stigma. The evening will include guest speakers, a memory wall, a luminary display, opportunities for quiet reflection, Heavens Kitchen Food Truck, and visits with Jaxon the therapy dog.
Thanks to the Derry Public Library, a dedicated space will be available for On the Road to Wellness Peer Support Specialists to facilitate a recovery meeting and offer a quiet, welcoming environment for anyone seeking support, connection, or a moment of reflection during the event.
A resource table will be available with local support information, free naloxone (Narcan), and harm reduction supplies.
Whether you have been personally impacted by overdose or simply wish to stand in solidarity with your community, all are welcome. As we recognize this year’s International Overdose Awareness Day theme, “25 Years On. Still Needed.”, we remember those we have lost, support those who continue to heal, and reaffirm that every life matters.
