Join us at the Goddard Visitor Center in Greenbelt, Maryland for International Observe the Moon Night!
About this Event

Join us for interactive hands-on activities, a Moon art gallery, presentations, lunar and astronomical observing with telescopes, and the opportunity to see a real Apollo 14 Moon rock in our exhibit! Step behind the scenes to discover what it took to make the historic Artemis II mission to the Moon a success. Plus, learn about the groundbreaking research happening at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center as we unlock the secrets of the Moon, our solar system, the galaxy, and the universe beyond.

Please note that this event may be filmed and/or photographed for NASA use.


Logistics:

-This event will occur rain or shine.

-There is free parking at the Visitor Center. Overflow parking will be available as will a shuttle to and from the overflow lot.

-The Gift Shop will be open from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.


We also invite you to join observers all over the world in celebrating Earth’s Moon through direct observations, hands-on activities, lunar-themed music, artwork, and more. You can participate by hosting or attending an event, or by observing the Moon with your family or friends, or on your own.
