Dear Southeast Community Families and Australian Bangladeshi Community Members. We would like to cordially invite you to celebrate our International Mother Language Day 2025 (Ekushey February) on 23-February-2025, Sunday from 12:30pm to 6pm at Brentwood Park Neighbourhood House & Community Centre [21A Bemersyde Dr, Berwick VIC 3806]
International Mother Language Day is usually celebrated on the 21st of February every year and the purpose of this day is to raise awareness of language, cultural diversity, and multilingualism around the world. However, this year we are celebrating this day on 3rd Mar, being the weekend. The program is hosted by South East Bangla School along with South East Bangladeshi Cultural Foundation. The students shall be performing at the program to show their respect to the martyrs of the Bangla Language Movement that took place in 1952 at Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Your attendance in the program will inspire our school students and the children of different cultures and ethnicity who will be joining the event. RSVP through Facebook event / Email ([email protected]) and be a part of our celebration to commemorate the sacrifices of our language martyrs in 1952.
