Get ready for one of the most exciting parts of the Paris Lions Maple Syrup Festival — our annual Brant County Line Dance Challenge!
This high-energy event within the festival brings together an estimated 100+ line dancers for an unforgettable morning of learning, dancing, and filming as we prepare our official submission for the International Line Dance Flash Mob — joining dancers from around the world!
🌎 What’s Happening?
Under the direction of award-winning choreographer and dance instructor Joan Minnery, alongside her World Dance Showdown Grand Champions — STOMPtastic, Brantford Line Dancing will lead the crowd through three featured dances:
• Everybody Dance
• Hoe Down
• Heel Toe Rodeo
These are the official dances being filmed worldwide — and we’ll be capturing OUR version right here in Brant County!
🎥 The completed video will be uploaded on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, alongside submissions from across the globe as part of the International Line Dance Flash Mob family.
💃 We’re Preparing in Advance!
In the weeks leading up to the event, our Monday and Wednesday night Brantford Line Dancing classes will focus on learning and polishing these three dances.
Our regular dancers won’t just be participants — they’ll act as assistant “teachers” on the big day, helping guide the large crowd that joins us every year. It truly becomes one big community dance floor!
