International Copper Association Industry Leaders Forum 2026
About this Event
Join ICA in London on 22 October
The copper industry is at an inflection point. The energy transition, digital transformation, and the demands of an increasingly urban global population have placed copper at the center of one of humanity's most urgent discussions.
This year's theme, "Copper in Action" is a call to be assertive in how the world understands copper's value; how its industry and its entire value chain is resilient; and how future-proof is its current approach to demand, innovation and responsible production.
The ICA Industry Leaders Forum brings together the copper industry's most influential voices to do exactly that — to share insight, spark debate, and demonstrate that copper is not just essential to the future. It is already building it.

9:40 AM | Panel 1: Copper's Demand Horizon
Info: The trajectory of copper demand is clear, driven by electrification, grid expansion, EV infrastructure, data centers and urban development. From the complexity of midstream processing and refining capacity, to permitting timelines that span decades, to the untapped potential of recycling and circularity, the path between copper in the ground and copper in use is long, contested, and in urgent need of attention.
This panel moves beyond the demand forecast and into the harder conversation: what are the structural, regulatory and infrastructural barriers standing between copper and the future it needs to help build?

Info: Panel 2 "Raising the Bar: Navigating Traceability, Transparency and the New Reporting Landscape" focuses on the industry's accountability story and the challenges of meeting consumer and investor expectations.
Expectations around transparency, traceability, and responsible sourcing have shifted dramatically. Investors, regulators, downstream customers and civil society are demanding greater visibility into copper's journey through the value chain. New reporting frameworks, due diligence legislation, and sustainability disclosure requirements are creating both obligation and opportunity for the copper industry. The path to meaningful, credible, and consistent transparency is complex. This panel examines where the industry stands, what the emerging requirements mean in practice, and what genuine progress looks like.
