International Conference of Hong Kong Society for Transportation Studies aims to address the key challenge and explore new trends of improving the sustainability of transport systems in our societies. Clearly, the booming demand for urban mobility is leading to a significant increase in all transport modes. Yet, the conventional approach of expanding our road and railway infrastructure seems no longer an adequate and sustainable solution. Innovative and environmentally friendly transport systems will have to be developed to meet the increasing demand for mobility while preserving the environment.
