As Beatle-fever beckons for International Beatleweek 26, we've put together a programme of special events to add to your festival itinerary. If you are in Liverpool during Beatleweek, come down to Strawberry Field!
Strawberry Field is delighted to welcome Adolfo Iglesias and musician John Juárez for a special International Beatleweek talk in the Bradbury Suite. Adolfo dives into the story of John Lennon, his time in Almeria and the writing of 'Strawberry Fields Forever'.
Adolfo Iglesias has spent more than 30 years researching the six weeks John Lennon spent in his hometown of Almería while filming How I Won the War. He has spoken to dozens of people who met Lennon during his time there — drivers, waiters, children, members of the film crew, and even the film's producer, Richard Lester.
Now Adolfo can reveal more about John's trip to Almería, including the villa where he wrote and recorded his first demos of 'Strawberry Fields Forever'.
Join us at Strawberry Field at 1.30pm on Friday 28th August.
Tickets are free, with a suggested donation of £10.
