Intermediate Word for Creatives
About this Event
Event Description
Microsoft Word becomes even more powerful when you move beyond creating
individual documents and begin using it to automate routine tasks and collaborate
with others. Building on the skills introduced in Basic Word and Basic Excel, this
hands-on class will show you how the programs work together to produce polished,
professional results while saving you time.
You’ll learn to use Mail Merge to turn information stored in an Excel spreadsheet into
personalized letters or mailing labels. You’ll also create a protected, fillable form that
allows customers or colleagues to enter information easily by tabbing from one field to
the next. Finally, you’ll explore Word’s commenting and editing tools, which make it
easier to gather feedback, review suggested changes, and manage the document
revision process.
During this workshop, you’ll learn how to:
- Navigate Word’s tools, menus, and essential features
- Understand basic document structure and terminology
- Use spelling, grammar, and editing tools to improve your work
- Create documents that are visually appealing and ready to share
- Use Word's commenting and editing features
- Use Mail Merge to turn information into personalized letters or mailing labels
From business correspondence and proposals to newsletters, marketing materials, and creative projects, this class will help you feel more confident using Word as a tool for your creative business.
No prior Microsoft Word experience required.
