Intermediate Vintage Piping Cake Decorating Class
Are you ready to build on your buttercream skills? Join us in the Edible Arts Lab to learn the detailed piping techniques behind today’s trendy vintage cakes!
This intermediate class focuses on creating decorative borders and piping directly onto the sides of a cake! This is a beautiful technique that can be a little tricky to master. We’ll begin by practicing on parchment paper so you can become familiar with the piping tips, pressure, and movements before working on your cake.
Our decorator will demonstrate several vintage-inspired design options, giving you the freedom to combine different details and create a cake that feels uniquely yours.
Some previous buttercream or piping experience is recommended. You don’t need to be an expert, but this class is best suited for guests who are comfortable with basic cake decorating and are excited to take on a more complex skill.
Your ticket includes:
One 6-inch vanilla cake filled with raspberry mousse and raspberry preserves
Buttercream for practicing and decorating
Parchment paper for piping practice
Piping bags and a variety of decorating tips
Several vintage-inspired design options
All additional tools and supplies
Step-by-step instruction from a Celebrity Cake Studio decorator
A cake box for bringing your finished creation home
Your completed cake serves approximately 6–10 guests—if you feel like sharing!
Class time: 1:00–2:00 p.m.
Price: $125 per participant
Skill level: Intermediate; previous buttercream or piping experience is recommended
Recommended age: 12+
Location: The Edible Arts Lab at Celebrity Cake Studio
Before You Book
Space in the Edible Arts Lab is very limited. Every person attending the class must purchase a ticket. We’re unable to accommodate additional guests, observers, or children without their own tickets.
All class sales are final. If you need to cancel, please notify our team at least 48 hours before the class begins. With a minimum of 48 hours’ notice, the value of your ticket may be transferred to a future cake-decorating class. Cancellations received with less than 48 hours’ notice are not eligible for a transfer or credit.
