About this Event
Practice the Art of Japanese Calligraphy (Shodō)
Japanese Calligraphy, or Shodō, is an artistic practice that serves as a connection to Japanese culture. It involves expressing a wide range of characters, including Kanji (derived from Chinese characters) and Kana (the Japanese writing system).
In this intermediate class, you will refine your penmanship and Shodo technique. The focus will be on practicing the fluid semi-cursive style (Gyōsho) with Kanji and short phases like " thank you " ( ありがとう)in Kana.
