INTERMEDIATE PORTRAIT OIL PAINTING with Anita Krummer

TIME: 1:00PM - 4:00PM
Cost: $30 members/$45 Nonmembers
While every face is unique, there are guidelines to jump start a successful portrait. Under the direction of Anita Kummer, participants will learn key proportions, tonal values, and brush strokes for creating an expressive portrait.
Instruction is geared for painters just entering this challenging field of art. Class size is limited to ensure each student will receive personal attention. Each student will complete a painting to keep and show off to family and friends.
The instructor will provide one 14X11” stretched canvas for each student. Students are
encouraged to bring their own paint supplies, or may borrow the necessary materials by
contacting the instructor in advance at PCAC.
SUPPLIES
oil paints – white, red, yellow, blue, black
brushes – 1 medium and 1 small (such as ½” flat and a fine brush for detail)
palette and 2 painting knives
medium and thinner
paper towels
