Are you ready to improve your social dancing for Brazilian Zouk?
From the ground up Brazilian Zouk training is here to help you grow and mature your dance, as well as to prepare you for weekenders, marathons, dance Festivals etc..
Intermediate Class (7:30pm - 8:30pm):
- Concepts: Chicote, Balão, Boneca, off-axis motions and more...
- Skill Development: Add head motion to almost any basic step
- Prerequisite: At least 6 months of consistent BZ training
- Requirement: Comfortable grasp of basic steps without compromising frame and technique, and maintaining balance.

(NEW) Beginners 101 (8:30pm - 9:30pm)
- Basics: basic steps, introduction to turning, lateral step leader + follower, alternating direction and introduction to timing.
Fundamentals Class (8:30pm - 9:30pm):
- Focus: Learn key fundamentals for a solid foundation.
- Master: Basic steps without compromising technique.
- Techniques: Enhance balance in various movements.
- Opportunity: Sharpen up your basics

Jeramie, hailing from Atlanta, GA, stumbled upon the captivating world of Brazilian Zouk during a spontaneous visit to a Latin social event in the summer of 2014. Intrigued by the pulsating rhythms and vibrant energy of this dance style, he found himself enamored by its allure. Despite having no prior partner dance experience, Jeramie fearlessly embraced the challenge of leading a partner, immersing himself wholeheartedly in Brazilian Zouk.
Drawing from his years of involvement in hip-hop and club styles, Jeramie's dance journey evolved uniquely, infusing his authentic flair into the Zouk realm. His dedication and commitment propelled him to become one of the premier dancers in his hometown of Atlanta, carving out a distinctive niche within the local dance community.
Eager to deepen his understanding and master the intricacies of Brazilian Zouk, Jeramie embarked on a quest for knowledge. He delved into extensive study within his Atlanta community while also venturing beyond city limits. His pursuit led him to immerse himself in various festivals, weekend workshops, private lessons, and intensive training sessions, honing his fundamentals and expanding his repertoire.
Jeramie's relentless passion for Brazilian Zouk, coupled with his eclectic dance background and extensive training, epitomizes his commitment to continuous growth and mastery within the dance community. He remains dedicated to sharing his expertise, guiding enthusiasts, and fostering a vibrant and inclusive dance environment wherever his journey takes him.
Alyssa Meyer is a dancer, choreographer, actor, director and producer. Her 23 years of dance training include ballet, hip hop, contemporary, jazz, pom, tap, musical theater, heels, salsa, bachata, urban kizomba and zouk. She’s an experienced performer, competitor, teacher, and event coordinator.
Since moving to Atlanta in 2019, Alyssa has been heavily involved in the latin dance scene, traveling to festivals with teams. In 2021, her team competed and collected 1st and 2nd place trophies in at the World Salsa Summit.
She is currently the Coordinator for Sensual Bachata Atlanta Fusion Team and is very much looking forward to their 3rd season in 2024! (Ask her about auditions!)
Even though Alyssa has known the zouk basics for a few years, she didn’t begin her focused training in zouk until the summer of 2023. She never does things halfway, though! Minimum 3 days a week in training with Jeramie Reeves quickly paid off after placing 4th, alternate, and then 2nd place in zouk Jack & Jills at the festivals she attended in 2023. Her ballet background has strongly supported her throughout her zouk journey, and she’s dedicated to learning, training, and traveling to continue her zouk education. Alyssa is very excited to share what she’s learned with others!
