Shik Shak Shok Bellydance presents: Intermediate Bellydance / Raqs Sharqi — 6-week course

Ready to take your bellydance journey further? ✨

This 6-week intermediate course will build on the foundations learned in a beginners’ course, introducing variations of basic movements, travelling steps, layering, improvisation, and more advanced techniques.

This course is ideal for those who have completed at least one beginners’ course and are ready to explore new challenges. However, if you are new to bellydance but would like to try a one-off class before committing, you are also very welcome. In each class, I will be revisiting the basics before advancing to the more complex moves.

Alongside movement training, we will explore the historical and cultural context of bellydance and its practices across the SWANA region, creating a deeper connection with the music, movements, and traditions behind this beautiful art form.

First and foremost, bellydance/raqs sharqi is a cultural pratice of the SWANA region. But in addition to that, it is also a wonderful way to support physical and mental wellbeing. Many students share that classes help them feel more energised, reduce stress, build confidence, and enjoy a joyful, inclusive space to connect with themselves and others.

📅 When: Every Wednesday at 7pm
⏰ Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in before class begins.

👗 Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and bring a bottle of water. Hip scarves/belts will be provided during the class.
