Interest Lunch: Joining the 2025 YP Advisory Council

Discover the new YP Advisory Council and committee structure launching at YPJC in 2025, and explore how you could play a key role!

Join us for casual networking, lunch, and a brief presentation followed by an interactive Q&A session.

This exciting update offers a fresh way for members to get more involved and take ownership of YPJC’s growth. Whether you’re interested in a leadership role or simply want to contribute at a more flexible level, there’s a spot for you.

Each committee will have an appointed Chair, who sits on the Advisory Council. The applications will open mid-November.

Any YP member is welcome to become a Committee Member, making it easy to participate at a lower commitment level but still play an essential role in shaping YPJC activities more aligned with your own interests and talents.

• Gatherings & Celebrations Committee: Helps plan and coordinate social events, from large gatherings like the Halloween Party and Annual Gala to smaller socials and activities like after-hours events and hikes. Members passionate about event planning are encouraged to get involved
• Leadership Development Committee: Focuses on networking events, speaker series, and workshops that help YPs grow as leaders and connect in the job market. Members with strong local business ties are encouraged to get involved.
• Social Impact Committee: Leads YPJC’s advocacy efforts, civic engagement, and service projects, identifying opportunities for us to contribute to meaningful community causes.
• Community Engagement Committee: Helps YP stay connected to local events, festivals, and partnerships that align with YP interests. This group also helps organize YP participation in larger community events and festivals
• Membership Management Committee: Focuses on recruiting and retaining members, leading welcome efforts at events, and developing creative strategies to grow our YP community.

• YP-On Campus: Represents our student chapter, bridging the gap between student members and the broader YP community.
• Council President: Focuses on fundraising efforts and collaborates closely with the YP Executive Director. This role involves working across all committees to ensure alignment.
