Inter|Act Spoken Word Open Mic Featuring Sara Santistevan

Are you ready to get your poetry on? Join us on October 21, 2025 at Satori Arts for Inter|Act, a FREE spoken word open mic night, from 7-9 pm, featuring poet Sara Santistevan.

Sara Santistevan is a Latina poet and recipient of the 2021 Reyna Grande Scholarship for her first chapbook, The Root from which Freedom Blossoms, which is available online and at Bookshop Santa Cruz. She has work published in Shō Poetry Journal, The Acentos Review, Porter Gulch Review, Querencia Press, and elsewhere. Outside of her 9 to 5, Sara is a Junior Editor with F(r)iction Literary Journal, member of the Santa Cruz Writers of Color and Círculo de poetas y writers, and occasional workshop leader.
