Under the guidance of Michelle Petties, an expert in healing-through-reading-writing-and-storytelling, this workshop delves into intentional reminiscing—a powerful technique she’s used to help countless individuals find peace and purpose. Michelle will guide you through prescriptive writing exercises designed to reinterpret past experiences with compassion and wisdom, allowing you to move forward with clarity and confidence.

Michelle Petties is a TEDx speaker, author, Food Story coach, and graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington. Over her lifetime she has gained and lost over 700 pounds. Her memoir, Leaving Large – The Stories of a Food Addict, a category winner in The 2022 Memoir Prize for Books, features the award-winning essay, The Cake is in the Mail. Her memoir illustrates how events, experiences, and memories inform our beliefs, attitudes, and habits around food, eating, hunger, and everything else. Michelle teaches others how to find their food and personal truths during healing-through-reading-writing-and-storytelling workshops.
