🎨 Instructed Figure Drawing with Greg Dearth at DSAJoin us for a focused, immersive figure drawing session at the Dayton Society of Artists. Working from a live nude model, this instructed class emphasizes anatomy, proportion, gesture, and light through demonstration and individualized feedback.

🎨 What to Bring: Your own drawing supplies (18″ x 24″ pad, newsprint, pencils, charcoal, kneaded eraser, drawing board, clips, etc.), or whatever you like.
Free street parking is available, with additional parking in the lot across the street.
This is a serious, supportive studio environment designed for artists looking to strengthen their skills and deepen their practice.
About the Instructor:
Greg Dearth is a native of Dayton, Ohio and an art graduate of Ohio University. A nationally known illustrator, his work has appeared in books, museums, products, and advertising for Fortune 500 companies. Over time, portrait painting and figure drawing have become his primary focus.
He has taught at Rosewood Arts Center, the Dayton Art Institute, and through independent workshops, and has been a guest artist and speaker at the Cincinnati Art Club, Dayton Society of Artists, CCAD, and The Portfolio Center in Atlanta.
“Figure drawing is challenging but also deeply rewarding. While there may not be rules in art, there are methods that can help achieve desired results. I hope participants leave with new skills and a sense of fulfillment in their work.”
