Join Club Oly Road Runners in celebrating the first women's Olympic marathon trials that took place here in Olympia, WA in 1984. This historic event was a milestone in women's running. Our panel discussions feature:
Des Linden, 2-time Olympian and 2018 Boston Marathon Champion
Jacqueline Hansen, 1973 Boston Marathon Champion and 1984 trials participant.
Cheryl Treworgy, the first woman to break 2:50 in the marathon
Jack Daniels, Olympian and world famous coach.
Local athletes and trials participants: Rich Brown, Karen Steen, Linda Huyck and Angela French and so many more!
Raising funds for Bras for Girls, a non profit that gives sports bras to girls in need with the goal of increasing the participation girls/women in sports.
Events are free, but please consider making a donation for Bras for Girls.
