Bio:
Calah Kelly is a 32-year-old teacher’s aide, behavior technician, poet, and multidisciplinary creative who has been writing for over half of her life. In addition to poetry, she is passionate about woodburning, crochet, visual arts, and cooking, using a variety of creative outlets to express herself and connect with others. Her work is often inspired by personal experiences, resilience, and the belief that creativity can transform challenges into something meaningful.
After returning to school following a 13-year break, Calah currently maintains a 3.3 GPA, has earned Dean’s List recognition, and is a proud member of the Honor Society. While navigating diabetes, high blood pressure, and stage 5 kidney disease, she continues to pursue her goals with determination and purpose. Through her poetry, Calah shares stories of perseverance, growth, creativity, and hope.
