Friends and collaborators Sam Hurwitz and Finley Greene are thrilled to be jointly making their Brooklyn debut!
Sam Hurwitz is a Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter and composer who seeks to connect, express and breathe deeply through music performance. He teeters at the edge of folk and rock, drawing from a varied musical background which includes orchestral composition, jazz improv, and ambient music. He is inspired by: his stutter, queer longing, early mornings and late nights, and pasta.
Finley Greene has developed a distinctive voice as a cross-genre songwriter and composer, drawing on a lifelong passion for melody and storytelling. In 2021, with the guidance of Chris Funk of The Decemberists and audio engineer Adam Lee (Sleater-Kinney, Portugal the Man), Finley wrote, recorded, and produced his debut album, Petrichor, an early milestone that fused indie sensibility with classical craft. He went on to earn a BA with Honors in Music from Vassar College, where he was awarded the Jean Slater Edson Prize in Composition. A pianist since age five, Finley Greene is typically found playing and singing in Brooklyn, New York, where he currently resides.
