Inspired by Libraries with Divina De Campo
About this Event
Join British drag queen and singer Divina De Campo in conversation with Manchester City of Literature’s Jo Flynn for an intimate but lively evening in Oldham Central Library.
They will be discussing Divina’s life journey and the influences she gained through reading and libraries. Crowned runner-up on the first series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, Divina has made waves with a UK Top 40 single as part of the girl group The Frock Destroyers as well as critically acclaimed theater credits, including her role as Mary Sunshine in Chicago, her award-winning performance as Hedwig in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and most recently, The SpongeBob Musical. Known for her high soprano and four-octave range, she has also been featured on ITV’s The Voice and the BBC’s All Together Now. The Festival of Libraries welcomes Divina back to Greater Manchester, where she studied at Manchester Metropolitan University.
