A Hands-On, All-Ages Creative Experience
Downtown Art Gallery invites the community to celebrate Inspire Your Heart with Art Day on Saturday, January 31, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with a joyful, interactive event designed to spark creativity, connection, and self-expression for all ages.
Inspire Your Heart with Art Day is celebrated annually to encourage people to engage with art in meaningful ways—whether by viewing, listening, creating, or simply noticing the beauty around them. Art has the power to move us, tell our stories, and bring people together, and this special day is a reminder that creativity belongs to everyone.
To honor the spirit of the day, Downtown Art Gallery will host a free, lively, family-friendly celebration featuring:
• Live art demonstrations by local artists, offering guests a behind-the-scenes look at how art comes to life
• A musical instrument “petting zoo,” where children and adults can see, touch, and try a variety of instruments in a relaxed, welcoming setting
• Hands-on art projects open to all ages, encouraging visitors to create their own piece of art and experience the joy of making something from the heart
“This day is about removing the intimidation factor from art,” says Downtown Art Gallery owner Heidi Thamert. “You don’t have to be an artist to be inspired by art. Whether you’re painting, making music, or simply watching creativity unfold, it’s about connection, curiosity, and joy.”
