About the Chinese Soup Lady

TheChineseSoupLady.com is a family project led by sisters Lisa and Tracy Tong (with a special shoutout to our “test subject,” baby sister Carol). In Cantonese, “Tong” (湯) means “soup”—and in Hong Kong we’re known as 湯小妹, or “Soup Lady.”

We grew up with Chinese-style soup at the table almost every night—brothy, nourishing, and thoughtfully made to match the season, our health, and the balance of the meal. That upbringing inspired us to learn the traditions behind Chinese soups and recreate them ourselves.

Our soups are all-natural and made with pure, wholesome ingredients—slow-simmered with time and care, ready to serve.
