About this Event

Inside the Principles & Practices Assessment | 11:30-1:30 PM

This hybrid training will be facilitated by Nellie Tsai and Stephanie Deible from Michigan Nonprofit Association. Bring your notebook and/or laptop.

Strong organizational practices help nonprofits better serve their missions, staff, boards, and communities. This interactive Lunch & Learn introduces participants to the Principles & Practices Assessment and explores how it can help organizations strengthen operations, governance, compliance awareness, and overall effectiveness.

Rather than serving as a test or formal evaluation, the assessment is designed to spark meaningful conversations within organizations. Participants will learn how the tool can be used to identify strengths, uncover opportunities for growth, and support thoughtful, continuous improvement.

Interested in learning more before the session? Participants are welcome to explore the Michigan Nonprofit Association's Principles & Practices Assessment prior to attending.

The assessment is designed to help nonprofit organizations reflect on their operations, governance, compliance practices, and overall organizational effectiveness. It can be a valuable tool for identifying strengths, uncovering opportunities for growth, and supporting continuous improvement.

Access the Principles & Practices Assessment here.

Please Note: Completion of the assessment is completely optional and is not required to participate in the Lunch & Learn. The session is designed to be valuable for all attendees, regardless of whether they have reviewed or completed the assessment beforehand.

This workshop is intended as an educational overview and discussion of the Principles & Practices Assessment and its various focus areas. No individual consultations or one-on-one appointments will be provided during this session.

Please note, you will receive an email with the Zoom link and session details approximately 72 hours before.
