Inside/Out: Saco

We are thrilled to continue the fifth year of "Inside/Out" landscape architecture site tours across our region. Prioritizing issues of climate and health, equity and resilience, each tour discusses ideas and implementation as we explore these landscapes together.

Our fall series continues in Saco and Biddeford, Maine. How can a series of small landscape architecture projects enhance human experience and knit the spaces of a community together?

This tour features a diversity of project types in a small geographic area. Projects include visioning/conceptual planning, implemented signage & way finding, a restaurant, a riverwalk, pedestrian infrastructure, and a public park. These projects connect along and create special moments within, engaging residents through the process. Join us as we explore.

After the walk, join us for snacks and drinks on the outdoor terrace of Magus on Water (one of the landscape architecture projects featured in the walk.) The first round is on BSLA!

There is a parking lot, and it's a central location. We will walk together from there. Though this walk crosses the Saco River and touches the cities of both Saco and Biddeford, the entire walk is less than one mile.

There are driving suggestions for additional locations to explore on your own.

Please come dressed for the weather, prepared to walk outside. We look forward to exploring with you.
