About this Event
This session explores how research-based strategies can empower educators teaching technical and vocational courses to create engaging, learner-centered environments. Grounded in evidence and best practices, the discussion will focus on integrating documentary-based learning and low-tech simulations, such as storytelling, role-playing, and case studies, into teacher education. Participants will discover how these approaches can align with institutional goals, foster innovation among educators, and enhance teaching methodologies to better prepare students for workforce demands. Whether developing tailored curricula or designing impactful professional development programs, this session offers practical, research-driven insights for transforming teacher education.
Objectives
- Introduce research-based approaches to documentary-based learning and low-tech simulations to enhance technical and vocational education systems.
- Demonstrate practical, scalable strategies for integrating these innovative methods into teacher education and professional development programs.
- Inspire educators and educational leaders to foster a culture of innovation, equipping teachers to better prepare students for workforce demands and challenges.
- Provide actionable insights for designing tailored, culturally relevant curricula that align with institutional goals and resonate with the needs of diverse learners.
