InnovateHER Monthly Meetup: The Next Chapter
Schedule
Tue Nov 11 2025 at 09:00 am to 11:00 am
UTC-06:00Location
Kansas City Public Library - Central Library | Kansas City, KS
With the loss of SNAP benefits and federal funding to key nutrition programs affecting millions of Americans, including many of our Kansas City neighbors, we’re coming together to learn and take action to support our community.
We’ll gather in The Nook, the library’s coffee shop, to hear from Chef Shanita, Executive Director of The Prospect KC and NourishKC, about how her team is feeding our neighbors, creating workforce opportunities, and tackling systemic food inequity head-on. We’ll also hear about library programs supporting local families.
We’re collecting unopened packages of:
- Tampons and pads (all sizes and types)
- Individually wrapped feminine wipes
- Baby formula, diapers, and wipes
- Toiletries (deodorant, shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, etc.)
We’re not accepting food donations at this time, but come ready to cash mob a local, innovateher-led organization making a difference. Times are tough, but every bit helps so donate what you can to support The Prospect KC’s ongoing work.
Parking: Available in the paid Central Library Parking Garage (enter on 10th Street between Baltimore and Wyandotte) or on-street around the venue.
