About this Event
Innerdance is a conscious, embodied process that invites you into a deep inner journey where the mind softens and the body responds through spontaneous movement and expanded awareness.
Rooted in practices that awaken the body’s life-force energy—often associated with kundalini activation—it uses intentional sound and relaxed presence to release energetic and emotional blockages.
Innerdance was developed by Pi Villaraza, who discovered the process through direct experience and later refined it as a method for accessing non-ordinary states of consciousness and self-healing. The result is a profound return to inner intelligence, clarity, and authentic flow.
Innerdance is an internal energetic experience where you will be laying down and listening to very specific music and sounds designed to activate the energy in your body. You will likely feel lots of movement inside your body but you will not be dancing externally. Just clarifying for anyone who may feel confused by the name. :)
Facilitator and Sound Engineer Matt Tuton says:
"Innerdance is a form of frequency meditation that uses different frequency sets, rate, and pitch to allow the body and brain to reach states of parasympathetic (nervous system ) stasis quickly and stay there for prolonged periods. Years of study, testing , and development have yielded a system of structuring sound that is able to help neurons reroute in the brain finding new paths and possibility. This can create a positive change in a persons over all being and general life experience. People describe tapping into an internal energy that aids in healing, insight, and expansion through this experience."
About the facilitator:
Matthew Tuton is an Innerdance facilitator, reiki master, and Siwa Murti practitioner. His no frills approach to facilitation blends the mystical with the practical, and allows people to find the doorway to a transformational process that is deeply personal and spiritually charged and scientifically investigated.
“This knowledge is inherent, it belongs to everyone , and everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the depths of what is inside, and outside of our normal perception,” says Matt.
Getting to Evolve Academy:
The Evolve Academy of Conscious Learning is located inside The Schoolhouse, located at 720 Magnolia Road, Suite 21, Charleston, SC 29407.
Be sure to park on the Magnolia Road side of The Schoolhouse building and go through the double doors that have the word "Events" next to them. You will then go left to find Evolve Academy in Suite 21.
As our school is a center for personal and professional development for adults, many of our classes take place in the evening or on the weekends.
If for some reason you arrive late and find the exterior doors locked, just knock gently on the window to the left of these doors - this is the Evolve classroom window. You can, of course, avoid this issue by arriving a few minutes early. :)
Evolve is a serene, cozy space that is friendly for those who are sensitive to busy spaces. We purposely have calm lighting, soft rugs and cushions, hot herbal tea, and neutral tones to assist you in feeling safe and cared for.
