First Steps to Shaping Little Futures is your perfect starting point – designed as a supported pathway into the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
This introductory program gives you a real taste of studying and working in early childhood settings, including:
• Childcare
• Kindergarten
• Family Day Care
• Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)
It’s an ideal way to explore the industry before committing to a full qualification.

These nationally recognised units form part of the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, creating a direct pathway into the full qualification:
• HLTWHS001 – Participate in workplace health and safety
• CHCPRT001 – Identify and respond to children and young people at risk
• CHCECE055 – Meet legal and ethical obligations in children’s education and care

You’ll also build essential foundation skills through:
• Employability skills – Key workplace expectations in Early Childhood
• Study skills – Strategies to support current and future learning
• Career planning – Exploring job options and setting career goals
