Information Officer

This course will focus on the tools available to Information Officers to carry out their role in a REOC.

This course is intended for employees with some communications experience as management of media and development of key messaging will not be covered in this course.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course students will be able to:

• Recognize how the Information Officer fits into an incident response

• Learn to use the tools available to an Information Officer

• Work through practical activities and an exercise to enhance understanding of the tools

Prerequisite: Cowichan REOC Full-Day Course or REOC Introduction
