The aim of the lecture is to provide participants with a meaningful and up-to-date overview of the main trends in information manipulation and influence activities. In a rapidly changing information environment, it is increasingly important to understand how public opinion is shaped, what techniques are used to influence people's attitudes and behavior, and how to recognize these phenomena.Lecturer: Urve Eslas, strategic communication adviser, Government Office.
The event will discuss current forms of information manipulation, including the spread of false information and disinformation, targeted influence campaigns, and the role of social media and artificial intelligence in amplifying narratives.
Real and current cases of information manipulation will be presented.
Participants will be able to support their critical thinking skills and learn practical tools for more informed and responsible information consumption.
