Infill From All Angles

Infill isn’t just about buildings — it’s about how we shape the places where people live, work, and gather. Join us for an interactive, education focused CREW session that explores infill redevelopment from every angle: what it is, what it isn’t, and where it’s headed.

Instead of a traditional panel, you’ll move through a series of small group table discussions led by local experts in planning, development, design, and policy. Each table will dive into a different facet of infill — from zoning realities and bylaw navigation to architectural intent, community impact, misconceptions, and the commercial, mixed use, and multi family development perspective.

Every 10–15 minutes, you’ll rotate to a new conversation, meet new people, and gain practical insight into how infill projects move from concept to construction within evolving neighbourhoods. The format is designed to be candid, conversational, and grounded in real world experience. Bring your questions. Bring your curiosity.

Whether you work in real estate, design, planning, construction, or simply want a deeper understanding of how great urban projects come together, this session offers a fresh, collaborative look at infill in practice — and the space to explore it from all sides.

Chelsey Jersak – Situate

Chelsey is deeply engaged in Edmonton’s zoning bylaw evolution and infill landscape through her work at Situate. With extensive experience navigating land use, policy, and development approvals, she brings a practical understanding of how regulation shapes what ultimately gets built. Chelsey is also actively involved with IDEA and broader city-building initiatives focused on thoughtful growth.

Katie Schneider – Autograph

Katie is an urban development professional focused on mixed-use and multifamily infill projects. Her work emphasizes commercial activation, public realm integration, and human-centred design within evolving urban neighbourhoods. She brings a developer’s perspective to balancing financial feasibility, community context, and long-term city-building strategy.

Anne Hujber – HSEA Architecture Inc.

Anne is an architect and urban designer with a strong foundation in planning and a talent for translating ideas into clear, compelling visuals. Her work spans mixed use, commercial, and public realm projects, with a focus on how people move through and experience urban spaces. As a Principal at HSEA, she brings a thoughtful, people centred approach to design and studio leadership, helping guide projects from early concept through delivery.

Leah Kinsella – Beljan Development
Leah is a development manager with ten years of experience supporting project planning, design coordination, risk management, and delivery across a range of urban development initiatives. With a background in architectural technology, she brings a strong technical lens to her work and a commitment to community‑focused, cost‑effective solutions. At Beljan, she contributes to projects that emphasize thoughtful integration within Edmonton’s built environment, drawing on her passion for architecture, strategic planning, and the city’s evolving urban fabric.
