The Piyotr Kao Trio brings the energetic spirit and timeless energy of the Oscar Peterson/Niels Henning Ørsted Pederson/Joe Pass Trio to life in their own distinctive way.
Blending technical mastery with a deep sense of swing, the trio attempts to channel the legendary sound of the trio’s era defining sound, infusing their performances with vibrant improvisation and soulful interplay.
Featuring Rick Son on the piano, Piyotr Kao on the bass and Martin Jasinski on the Guitar, the trio will put their own spin on the inimitable sound of this legendary trio of masters of yore.
Frankie's After Dark takes place every Friday and Saturday at Frankie's Jazz Club in downtown Vancouver and is curated by Tim Reinert of Infidels Jazz. Shows start at 11:00PM and tickets are $10.
