Infidels Jazz Presents: Midnight Boogaloo at Hero's Welcome

Midnight Boogaloo is a collective of musicians coming from all around the Milky Way. This project was founded by Colombian guitar player Alan Ruiz with the intention of bringing latin "descargas" back to the streets. Influenced by the New York sound of Jazz, Soul and Traditional Latin music from the 60’s and 70’s, this project emerges from the rich and diverse Vancouver music scene.

This band is a high energy act that will move you physically and emotionally. The repertoire is a mix of original and Folk music from Latin America including styles like Cumbia, Salsa and Boogaloo with a Rock and Roll aesthetic.

This performance is part of Social Music, a monthly live music series at Hero's Welcome presented by Infidels Jazz.
