The Minnesota Association for Children’s Mental Health is excited to announce its 7th annual Infant & Early Childhood Multidisciplinary Conference hosted in Brooklyn Park, MN November 17-19, 2024.MACMH welcomes early care and education professionals, mental health professionals, home visitors, public health and child welfare professionals, and all others who support young children prenatal-6 and their families and caregivers.
This conference promotes infant and early childhood mental health principles to inform practice across disciplines. It brings together a vast network of multidisciplinary professionals from across the state who all work with young children, their families and caregivers.
Discussions will be centered around how,
- Work with young children must always occur within the context of their primary relationships.
- There is a need for reflection in relationship-based work.
- Development informs the work.
- Infants and very young children and their families have unique relational and developmental needs which require practitioners to have a unique set of skills.
- Research informs practice and practice informs research.
