Sarah Gerrard-Jones, is a local author, freelance writer and curator of the Instagram account @ThePlantRescuer. With almost half a million instagram followers, Sarah has a beautiful way of engaging her audience with her infectious love of plants.

As part of the exhibition ‘Biophilia’ celebrating the beauty and symbolism of plants on show at the Collective Gallery St Albans, Sarah will be hosting a plant Q&A focussing on practical tips for caring for house plants, making the art of plant-keeping accessible and enjoyable for beginners and enthusiasts alike. She will also have copies of her book “The Plant Rescuer: the book your houseplants want you to read” available as signed copies.

Sarah Gerrard-Jones, author of The Plant Rescuer – The Book Your Houseplants Want Your To Read, is an indoor gardener with a passion for rescuing ailing plants. She is the houseplant expert on ITV's Alan Titchmarsh's Gardening Club and has recently been featured on BBC Gardeners' World. Her Instagram account @theplantrescuer provides thousands of people worldwide with tips on how to keep their indoor garden thriving. In 2022 Sarah was awarded gold at RHS Chelsea Flower Show. She is the founder of the Plant Rescue Box Initiative, a scheme created to help reduce plant waste and encourage retailers to stop binning imperfect plants. Sarah writes about houseplants for Gardeners’ World Magazine, The Times, Living Etc and Gardens Illustrated and has been nominated twice by the Garden Media Guild for Social Media Influencer of the Year.
