Brighten up the winter season and hone your spring gardening skills by creating an indoor herb garden, perfect for a sunny windowsill or countertop. In this workshop, we'll guide you through the entire process of setting up your garden, from selecting the right containers to planting and caring for your herbs.
You'll learn about the specific lighting and humidity requirements for a variety of popular herbs, as well as essential techniques for pruning, feeding, and troubleshooting common indoor potting issues. Additionally, we'll explore creative ways to use your fresh herbs in cooking, wellness, and home décor. Discover how to craft themed gardens such as a tea collection, a relaxation garden, a fragrant herb display, or an interactive cocktail garden.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll beat the winter blues and know how to keep your new garden flourishing throughout the seasons
Instructor:
Melissa Pace is an award-winning horticulturist, competing in numerous flower shows nationwide - from the Philadelphia Flower Show to specialized cacti and succulent showcases. A University of Rhode Island Master Gardener since 2003, she also maintains an active membership in the Cactus and Succulent Society of Massachusetts.
