AMERICAN IMMIGRATION: FANTASIES, FACTS, AND THE FUTURE

Given recent shocking events, the fragility of the American experiment is more evident than ever before. Dr. Kennedy will explore the historical dynamics that have brought the republic to its present state-of-affairs, with special emphasis on the role of immigration, with its attendant issues of polarization, national identity, border security, birthright citizenship, hemispheric relations, and the political challenges of America’s —and the world’s—changing demographic profile. David’s remarks will provide an opportunity to deliberate how we can focus on actions that will save and strengthen the republic we all cherish.
We are taking no reservations as we do not have that capacity. And seating at the Grange is limited. There is no fee, but we are hoping for a donation of $10 to support our Indivisible efforts on San Juan Island. Please arrive early to assure a seat. Thank you for attending; see you there. Diane
