Elkhart County Indivisible Invites Public to Two Events on June 14 to Oppose ICE and Celebrate Freedom
Two hundred and fifty years in, the promise of America still lives in its communities — in neighbors looking out for neighbors, in families gathered together, in voices raised in song and in solidarity.” Barack Obama
Join Elkhart County Indivisible on Saturday, June 14, 2026, for two events that honor that promise:
No ICE in Elkhart
Every day, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement picks up 3-5 people from Elkhart County and transfers them out of state. These are our neighbors. People who live, work, worship, and pay taxes here — and our Indiana tax dollars are funding it.
Most people in our community have no idea this is happening.
Join us for One Day, One Community — a gathering to share the truth about ICE's role in Elkhart County. This is a non-partisan, non-violent vigil; participants may bring signs if they would like. The event will allow those who oppose the way the President and ICE are treating people in our area to share their belief that all humans have worth and should not be arrested using manufactured charges.
When: 2 to 4
p.m. Sunday, June 14

33 and County Road 17 Goshen (Park at the new Elkhart County courthouse)
Rise up and Sing out
After an afternoon of action, join us for an evening of joy. Rise Up Sing Out is a free live stream watch party for a live concert and a celebration of the First Amendment — because resistance also looks like community, music, and laughter. This event will be an uplifting evening of music, community, and action.
Hosted by the Committee for the First Amendment (CFA), this special livestream event will feature an all-star lineup including Jane Fonda, Patti Smith, Bette Midler, Rufus Wainwright, Joy Reid, Wilson Cruz, Broadway Inspirational Voices, and more.
We will have food, games for the kids, and plenty of space to connect with neighbors old and new. While admission is free, donations will be accepted.
